Although it's a good busy!

In January we celebrated Sadie's 1 year birthday. We had a great time with friends and family here at the house. Sadie had a frog birthday party and her first taste of cake which she thoroughly enjoyed!
February and March were fairly uneventful except we found out that we will be welcoming baby #3 into the mix at the end of October. This was quite a suprise and blessing at the same time. After quite a few ultrasounds and dr. appts I have finally passed the 12 week mark and we're looking forward to seeing this little one later on this year. Ella also had her yearly check-up with Dr. Peiris, her cardiologist. He informed us that there was little to no leakage in her aortic valve and very minimal leakage in her mitral valve. He let us know that for us to ever do anything about this, the leakage would have to get significantly worse. He also said for us to encourage daily activity and let her do as much as she wanted to because that would only strengthen her heart and he doesn't need to see her back for 3 to 5 years! Praise God!!!!
April was pretty busy as it all started on a windy Sunday afternoon around 3:45 as I was waking up from a nap and the girls were sleeping soundly. The wind had really picked up outside and the dirt was blowing so bad you could barely see anything. I commented to Jim that it looked really nasty out and as he looked out our back door he noticed there was a HUGE blazing fire out in the pasture. He jumped up, I jumped up, he called 911 (which doesn't really work around here, but that's another story), I grabbed my camera and then panicked. Jim was running around trying to get water hoses, luckily it was far enough back and the wind was blowing to the east so it was going to bypass us but we worried about our neighbors down the street. I ran inside and got the girls and we headed down to the next door neighbors parents house while the guys fought the fire and helped everyone out. It got up to some fences and in a few back yards but thankfully no houses were destroyed and no one was hurt. I've never really thought about our litttle volunteer fire department but I am SOOO thankful they were there! They did a fantastic job!
Last weekend we celebrated Easter at my aunt Elaine's house. It was so much fun this year! The girls had a great time hunting easter eggs with all their cousins. When I was little we would go to grandmothers, my mom's mom, for Easter and have easter egg hunts but then all of us cousins got older and grandmother passed away so we just quit getting together for Easter. This year my aunt Elaine decided to start up the tradition again since there's getting to be more little ones. We had a blast! Thanks aunt Elaine!
Ella and Sadie are growing like weeds. Ella's into Barney and Word World. She loves to play outside and ride her tricycle. She also loves being the best helper and big sister EVER!! Sadie turned 15 months on the 29th and has finally taken a few steps on her own. She's talking a lot and understands what you say. She can also follow directions. Her and Ella have a great time together. It's so much fun watching them be sisters.

And a few random pictures.
OK so this post won't have any pictures because they are on my other computer that I left at church on Sunday. However, since it's been forever since I posted and I actually had some time today I thought I would go ahead and do it.

We had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving. Jim was on call on Thanksgiving so my parents graciously made the trek to DC and we made a nice small dinner for ourselves and enjoyed the company.

Christmas was equally as wonderful! Taylor and Audrey came in from Singapore so the girls and I headed to San Angelo the week before Christmas to spend some time with them. Ella had a great time with her aunt Audrey and uncle Taylor! We then came back to DC on Christmas weekend because Jim was on call again, to spend Christmas with him. Ella and Sadie got a lot of wonderful things from Santa! A few of Ella's favorites are her play horses, leapfrog computer, Tom's pink sparkly shoes, dress me Elmo, dress up set and Elmo pink purse. Some of Sadie's favorites are her books, wooden giraffe, music keyboard, and Tom's pink sparkly shoes. We also introduced Elf on the Shelf this year. Ella didn't quite get the concept this year but next year will be perfect. We had an Elf on the Shelf when I was little but it didn't have the same story with it as the new ones. We finished out Christmas by going back to San Angelo and spending the week with mom and dad. Taylor and Audrey had to get back to Singapore. Then we rung in the new year at mom and dad's with all of the Price clan (my mom's family.)

Other big news:
Jim gets to move to his new job on Friday!! We are so excited for him and can't wait. It's been a long process and it's FINALLY coming to fruition. We're very proud of him!! Also, we bought some land! We're really excited to move out to the country and have our own space. Everyone is welcome to come stay with us when we get our house built.

Ella and Sadie are growing up so fast! Ella is talking up a storm. For your entertainment here are some of the latest Ellaisms:

We were headed to the store in Hobbs:
Ella: Mom, you don't go that way to the store
Me: Well, which way do I go?
Ella: That way (pointing the other way)

Ella: Jo-Jo (Sadie in Ella terms) has the BEST Ella!

Ella: Mom, Daddy's going to take me to a football game
Me: He is?
Ella: YEAH, that'll be fun huh mommy?

On our way to San Angelo:
Ella trying to get my attention: hey mommy, hey mommy, hey mommy
Me: Ella- mommy needs to drive right now hold on
Ella: Hey Babe

Sadie will be 1 on the 29th and I cannot believe it!! This past year has gone by so fast. She just started crawling, however, I attribute that to her sister bringing her everything and not letting her go get it. She eats anything you put in front of her, I mean anything! If you give her a cracker or something little and you're eating table food she gets mad and starts waving and fussing at you to give her some of your food. She's so sweet and cuddly but has quite the personality. Ella calls her silly Sadie. She loves to laugh and play with Ella. The sad thing is she already knows how to pick on Ella when she gets bored but they love playing together!
So that's our happenings over the past few months. I'll try to blog more in 2011, no promises. I'll post pictures as soon as I get my computer back. I can't believe that my 2nd child is 8 months old! It has gone by so fast. She loves to babble and play with her big sister. They have such a great time together. Ella loves to make Sadie laugh and she really is good at it. Sadie weighs about 20 lbs and is 26 in long. She can sit up all by herself, she has learned to wave and recently started clapping. I really look forward to her and Ella growing up together. I'm so excited to do things like bake cookies together and go get pedicures! Watch out Jim, it's only begun. It used to be singular however her sister has caught the dancing bug recently. Pay close attention to Ella's footwear. We cannot be awake and not have them on. No, it doesn't matter what we are wearing for the day, even if we still have our pajamas on, we will be wearing them!

Well, Miss Sadie turned 7 months on Sunday. Can you believe it? I still can't. At her 6 month check-up she was 18lbs 1oz and 26in long. Dr. Camp said she looked really great and seemed to be progressing right on schedule. She can roll over in all directions, however, we've figured out that rolling over just really isn't her thing. She would rather just stay put. Which is basically what she does. Ella was a mover, but Sadie can sit still and play with a object for what seems like forever. She is sitting up on her own, loves to eat all kinds of food and jump in her jumpy. She is babbling a lot and loves to touch your face and grab things (including hair.) She will even transfer objects from hand to hand. She is so sweet, cuddly and lovey. I've always called her my sweet Sadie Jo and that is exactly what she is sweet!

Ella turned 2 on Thursday and is quite proud of herself for that one. This was our conversation the other day

Me: Hey, what is your name?

Ella: I'm Ella

Me: Well Ella, how old are you?

Ella: (batting her eyes) I'm two.

We have become quite prissy and independent. We know exactly what we want and what we are going to do to get it. Not in a bad way, she has just really figured out how things work and how to get things done. Everybody says the terrible twos but Ella has actually become very pleasant. Since she can communicate so well and does know what she wants a lot of the whining and fussiness has subsided. Don't get me wrong we still have typical two year old moments but it hasn't been nearly as bad a I expected. I am really enjoying getting to know Ella as a little person. She is so kind and helps me out tremendously with Sadie. If I ask her to do something she gets right on it. She loves to feel needed. She also has a huge heart and really cares about other people. Which in turn means we do get our feelings hurt pretty easily but those are good times of learning also. She got her first haircut on her birthday and we had an owl party.

Sorry if the pictures got out of order it's not letting me do what I want to do. Anyway, she had a great birthday party. It gets really busy around here this time of year with school starting then the day after her party was Teenage Christian Conference at our church which I believe the we had 800 people this year, the next weekend is Labor Day weekend so poor Ella didn't have a lot of people at her party this year but we had a great time! Ella has become such the little girl this past year. It's been so wonderful to see her grown into a fun loving little girl. She exudes with love and compassion! Her favorite things right now are Elmo, Barney (Rach- Haley and Ella need to get together for a Barney party!), BOOKS ( her favorite thing to say is "one mo book"), she can sing her ABC's with you, not clearly but she likes to chime in every now and then, she can show you one and five on her hand and she can talk in a complete sentence. I'm so proud of my little 2 year old!

Jim got a new job. He's still working with Oxy and actually still doing the job he has been doing but will soon be moving to the "field." Ever since he got on with Oxy he's worked in the CO2 plants and as a pump mechanic. His new job will still be a pump mechanic just out in the production field and not in the plants. It's a much less dangerous and more laid back atmosphere (from what I understand.) It's also much more of a long-term career move so looks like the next place we'll be moving is down the street to the cemetery. Not really, but if you want to find us within the next 30 or so years you might want to check here first.

My goodness, the 4th is like the epitome of summertime and with it being over that means that summertime is already in round 2 which means school starting, fall... Oh my, and have you been to any stores lately? They're putting out fall clothes and yes, Hobby Lobby is already putting out Christmas items. Saw them yesterday in Lubbock. Ok enough rambling!!

We had a wonderful 4th (which I don't have any pictures to show you right now because my "picture" computer is in the shop gettin' fixed but I will post them as soon as I get it back.) We went to San Angelo to visit my parents on Friday morning then I got to go to the spa for the day which was MARVELOUS!!! That is what I wanted for my birthday and yes, my birthday is in February but Sadie had just been born so I just now got around to it. Did I mention that it was FABULOUS??? We got up on Saturday to a day full of rain and sunshine. We really just relaxed and had a good boring day. On Sunday we went to church and when we got home it began to rain, AGAIN. It has rained everyday for the past week and a half. I don't think I have ever seen this much rain in West Texas. Then we went over to the Freemans, mom & dad's neighbors and friends, house to cookout and watch the fireworks- which we almost missed. Since it had rained so much we thought they might have canceled them because we waited and waited and waited and nothing so we went back over to mom and dads, turned on the 10 o'clock news and they were talking about them. Sure enough we walked out on their back porch just in time to catch about the last 10 min. It worked out well because I don't think Ella could have taken anymore. She's my 8:30-9:00 bedtime girl that doesn't do any later!! Then we all passed out and got up Monday and headed home.

Ella is really chatty-kathy these days and talks a lot of gibberish. It's so funny she gets her books and acts like she's reading them to you. What's funny is she's so serious about it but the words she makes up are so funny you want to laugh but then she thinks you're laughing at her. She loves playing with Jo-Jo and her dad is still a big hit. She is also wearing a size 9 shoe. Yes, a size 9. She wore a 6 forever. Then in May they were getting snug so I took her to Stride Rite and had her measured again and sure enough they said she needed a 7. Well, this weekend my mom mentioned to me the her tennis shoes felt snug and sure enough they were. We went to Stride Rite yesterday and they measured her foot and she measured an 8 1/2!! I was shocked. She looks like she has clown feet. I mean a 9? That's like a big girl shoe. Scarry is what it is. I'm afraid she might be as tall as her daddy. BTW- if you live in Lubbock or around the area Lil' Footprints is having a buy one get one FREE sale on all their shoes!!

Sadie is getting to be so much fun. She's officially turned 5 months on the 29th. She is almost sitting up and has rolled over once (we're still working on that one.) She tries really hard from her stomach to her back but those crazy arms seem to always get in the way. I think she's like her daddy and thinks too much about it instead of just doing it. She is loving to play with toys and look at everything. She's really starting to babble up a storm so her and her sister communicate pretty well. Ella loves it when Sadie talks to her, she thinks she pretty special, and she is. She also has 1 1/2 teeth. She cut her first tooth last week and this week she's working on the other. So besides being a little cranky all's good at the Turnbough household!

Again, sorry I don't have pics but will put them up as soon as I get my computer back!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-34623807822722529932010-06-17T12:48:00.000-05:002010-06-17T15:41:25.978-05:00Sadie- 4 months and Ella's big girl bedWe went in a couple of weeks ago for Sadie's 4 month well check. She weighed 14.8 lbs and was 24 in long. I was a little concerned about her weight since she had only gained a pound in 2 months but Dr. Tammy said as long as she is gaining we are good. Everything else looked great. We also had to get her 4 month vaccines which I HATE vaccines, but you have to do it. It did mess up her sleep schedule though. It did the same thing with Ella. I have asked around and everybody tells me that it helped their children sleep. NOT MINE!! Anyway, we are working on getting that back on track. I also started feeding her a little rice cereal before bed. Although it hasn't helped her sleep much better she sure does love it. If you don't feed it to her fast enough she starts to scream. Oh my! Sadie definitely has more of a temper than her sister.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 286px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjubup5m7Sm9JqLf97UNNYl6Y6Me9GH5Mj4iIrMrJEXGue4vTQJ-3AidvZXf5FaRhAn1H6q1ucTQ6I60syMj_cwBykn2dt7Xu53DG1OCWmXIgdA94v5XODozYFmWeaWCdQEfPypMu8zD1uX/s400/DSC_0149copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483842664311761762" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6cWWeWdk6osGxv-kn9LxHghI31VkDu2NSN4Js1qA3b2USZaO1yaadmZ9TSNoenrrF8rUTmiP2FDJ8zdgOI5V0zr9gmSkUU7UBgtrof3i4dPDNi3oxdYJLdTl72o9g30Jv01ps4BhzhG7O/s400/DSC_0140+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483842647223084290" />

We also moved Ella to a toddler bed. She was so proud of herself that she could get out. The first night presented a few challenges as she wanted to get out a lot but she has caught on really fast and stays in her bed until she wakes up in the morning or after her nap. I was really surprised that she has done so well with it. I really thought it would be more of a challenge than it has been. But she really understands when Jim and I give her pep talks. She listens carefully and usually tries really hard to follow the rules.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizsfNJOwW-p0MS6E0L8ikXINNWt00YkS3VJYNi3bc4sAwYgMgStpuYneCLxFO8FBu1dL-TBqwMxpQ10AxoT5Lj1fj0XbvTjjqupqWA5VU16oRnyE_Ciornzfq6jS_R9AVTjakMt2RLA4pK/s400/DSC_0128copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483842655575044450" />
sweet pic with her daddy!

One of Ella's favorite summertime activities is going to the park. We went to Camp Blue Haven to visit Jim's parents this past week and we had a great time. The weather was beautiful! Ella had a great time playing in the sand with her JU-JU and riding the mule with her dad and grandad.

Sadie has become quite the social bug this past week. She is smiling all the time and loves to talk up a storm. She has also discovered her hands and sucks on them profusely when trying to go to sleep. I am so proud of her she has slept in her own bed for the past 2 weeks and is sleeping 7 to 9 hours straight. We are having a great time with her and Ella is really starting to play with her a lot. Ella tries to teach Sadie everything. One of Ellas favorite things to do is to wave at Sadie, or Jo-Jo as Ella calls her, and then grab Sadie's hand and wave back at herself. She also talks to Sadie in a baby voice. Wonder where she learned that one.

Ella is so much fun and is talking so much. She repeats everthing you say and do. Today I was addressing birth announcements (I know they're about 2 months behind, but at least I did them.) Ella found a piece of paper and started licking it. I said "no Ella don't put that in your mouth." I thought to myself what is she doing? Then I realized she had seen me lick the envelopes and she was doing it too. One of her favorite things to do is to ride the lawnmower with her dad. Actually anthing dad is doing is great fun so she has to do it with him. Her favorite word these days is Ella or this week ME. If she wantes to go do something she says me, me, me and points to herself. She has also decided in the past few weeks that she no longer wants to go to Bible Class. Nothing happened she just wants to be with her daddy AT ALL TIMES!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-5509933238461435482010-04-21T12:00:00.000-05:002010-04-21T12:30:20.207-05:00Sadie & EllaOk Ok- I know it's been forever and since I'm getting so much harrassment for not updating in so long I decided that I better update.

It has been quite the whirlwind since Sadie has been here. She will be 3 months old a week from tomorrow and it has really gone pretty fast. When you're chasing around a 19 month old and tending to every little need of a newborn you're always doing one or the other throughout the whole day. I don't know if any of you saw Nadia Suleman "Octomom" on Oprah yesterday but it was a ZOO! I asked Ella as all of Nadia's 14 kids seemed to be crying all at once, I said that's a lot of kids huh Ella and she looked at me, grinned really big and said YEAH! It made me very thankful for my 2 girls that I was able to give them the attention they need even though some days it feels as though one or the other demands so much that the other is being neglected. I was also thankful for the sleep, althought not a lot right now, that I do get at night. I feel very blessed to be able to be Ella and Sadie's mother.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 229px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjWVc4qgF7ctISZ4fCjgus0gGD1_JlW7qsM_CqisxDD4b3o9nJOhud2-WjmDMJFGNdcNBPF5rqyYr_L3y_7GMQH_MUTPNkpIvTR14LTJnUKvAQSK-mIzLI7j1xgLFuzB8Mz7cJW6XAYmAc/s320/DSC_0134.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462640204845523010" />
Sadie loves it when people talk to her. She is talking so much and just really acts like a little girl. We have a lot of good laughs with Ella. She's quite the comedian. Here are some pictures we took when we went to my parents a couple weeks ago. We had to go searching for some bluebonnets and finally found a small patch on the side of the road.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-57298721483036446602010-01-11T13:39:00.000-06:002010-01-11T14:00:07.797-06:00Christmas and the home stretchI didn't know Christmas could be so much fun again! We had a great time watching Ella's eyes light up with ALL of her presents. Her new sound when she sees something that she likes is a very hi pitched "AWWHHHHHHH." Needless to say there were plenty of those over the holidays.

Mom and dad came into town for Christmas day so we all got up to see that Santa had brought Ella a tricyle. She is quite fond of it even though she can't reach the petals yet. Thanks Gran!!

On New Year's it was off to San Angelo to see Taylor and Audrey and do Christmas with them. It is always a lot of fun to get together with them. I felt so honored that they came all the way from London just to visit!! Then on Saturday after New Year's we traveled to Snyder to visit with my mom's family and then headed home.

We can't forget about the arrival of Miss Sadie. I went to the Dr. on Thurs. and we have planned the c-section for January 29th. Yes, that is 2 1/2 weeks away! Oh my! I can't believe I will be the mother of two girls. That's really scary. I'm 36weeks and feeling pretty good however, I am getting a bit uncomfortable. They assumed when she was born that she had a VSD, or ventricular septal defect, a type of congenital heart defect in which there is an abnormal opening in the dividing wall between the main pumping chambers (or ventricles) of the heart. VSD's are the most common type of heart defect in newborns. However, since she was experiencing no symptoms and was growing fine Dr. Peiris said it will most likely close up by one year and he wanted to see her back then to check it and go from there.

We went in at 11:00 and he first performed an EKG. On the EKG he saw some slight discrepancies so he listened to her and didn't hear the murmur but wanted to see what was causing the blip on the EKG. So, he sent us over to the hospital to do an Echo cardiogram, basically a sonogram of the heart. No one had told us at this point that the Echo would take about 45-60 minutes. Yeah right- you get your 13 month old to lay still for that long. Did I mention she hadn't had anything to eat? Poor thing! Well, Ella did FANTASTIC! She layed there still the whole time and even fell asleep for a while.

So after that was over we talked with Dr. Peiris for a while and he noted that all of her valves had minor leaks including her Aorta (the main artery to the heart.) There was no sign of a VSD. So, although not great news, for now Ella is doing really well and he told us not to change anything about her lifestyle for the time being. This is something that can get better with age, stay the same, or get worse. All we can basically do is watch it and if it does get worse do something about it such as have surgery to replace the valve.

Yesterday was quite a LONG (we finally got to leave the clinic at 3:00) and emotional day since this is not at ALL what I expected. Please keep Ella in your prayers that her heart will heal on it's own and she can continue to be a healthy and happy little girl.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-15064309669243289322009-10-22T08:49:00.000-05:002009-10-22T09:12:52.470-05:00Little PumpkinHere's Ella at her first pumpkin patch and she loved it! This is JC, he is the son of Ella's former pediatrician (former because they will be moving.) He is also 4 days older than Ella. His mom Kristie and I have become great friends though our pegnancies together and our children being so close in age. We are going to be very sad to see them go! I have loved having a pediatrician in town. Kristie has had me do JC's pictures ever since he was born and I just thought this one was so sweet!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-81016832471678465612009-09-18T10:36:00.000-05:002009-09-18T10:51:08.152-05:00Well..........It's a girl!Yes, we are good at having girls. I am so excited that Ella will have a sister so close. I know they will be great friends and I already have everything (pretty much.) I just had to break down yesterday and buy them their first matching outfits. Which, I promise it won't be an everyday thing (or even a weekly thing at that)!! I am a bit nervous about having 2 kids but I know it will be a lot of fun and hard work at the same time and I'm so glad Ella will have a play mate. Please pray for my sanity and for the pregnancy to continue to go well!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 314px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFkx74G8JFThqYOaVtXeIXnZ0zoDioe2H_aj3wfJX2e52n81nPefWh45mz96P9KbfHDBEE_w71WOynKJucbfAZE8LoAE39br7Re-Qe_wHKSBMf0fIyg5WakhMxkQAfwdyhliiCqy-jUsdz/s320/9-18-2009+10-46-14+AM_0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5382834742260642146" />
Miss Sadie (we don't have a middle name yet so if anyone has suggestions we're open.)
She will be here at the end of January/beginning of February!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-16286995497296355362009-09-01T21:16:00.000-05:002009-09-01T21:32:32.827-05:00Happy 1st Birthday!!I can't believe it was a year ago today the Miss Ella was born. This year has gone by so fast and we have loved every minute of it. It's really amazing to see how much things change in such a short time! Ella is walking all over the place and says a lot of words like mommy, daddy, papa, kitty cat or ki ca, hi, bye bye, all done, uh oh, and recently grandad (in a broken form.) She loves to clap when she is proud of herself or when people get excited. She also loves dancing when she hears music she likes.

We had a birthday party on Friday since Jim was off and he was here to help me. We had a great time and Ella LOVED her cake. Here are some pics of the big day.

<img style="display:block; I can't believe it! Ella will be turning 1 in a few short weeks and there is so much to get done. I went to the dr. today and got to hear the heartbeat again. It took her about 5 minutes to find it because the baby kept moving everywhere. Looks like we have another active one. We have a sonogram scheduled for Sept. 17 so we should find out what we're having. I'm kind of hoping for a boy but I also think it would be really neat for Ella to have a sister so close in age. I haven't taken any belly pictures yet but as soon as I do I will post.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-3195812287978395102009-08-06T10:20:00.000-05:002009-08-06T10:24:35.516-05:00Our new nephewWe have a new nephew! Yes, we are having another baby in January! It was quite a shock at first but we are settling into the idea quite nicely. I went for my first Dr. appt. yesterday and got to hear the little heartbeat. My doctor was also quite surprised to see me back so soon but was very excited for us. Ella and her sibling will be 16 almost 17 months apart. As one lady at church said "it's really just like raising twins honey." Yeah, thanks for that! I am 13 weeks and 3 days. I go for a sonogram next Tuesday to make sure of my weeks since I will have a scheduled c-section about a week before my due date they want to make sure they don't take the baby too early. I get a little stressed thinking that I will have two babies in 6 very short months. I really don't know how moms with 4 or 5 little one's do it. I guess they just go in full mommy mode and do it. I have come to accept that I will just "do it" taking one day/hour at a time. We are very excited and feel incredibly blessed to be having another child!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-23436597239227035302009-05-13T09:24:00.001-05:002009-05-13T10:02:31.801-05:00Sun Shiney DayJust a fun picture of Ella I took the other day when the sun was shining but it wasn't 100 degrees!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 286px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVjIxzrMsHEJ_vTwMraPS6rY-I-gh0iYgYIBcHa0Y34_WLLc-zogLCk9Gp5xs_5ecj0XFPCUGprSwGuCRGlwaefUwboAikz-TeewA7lV9Zvr9gW4epzsF3wiGhHcJ4ETmNN98WN8oTX4z8/s400/DSC_0123+(2).jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335314891367304162" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-88324138658351867962009-05-01T10:28:00.000-05:002009-05-01T10:48:04.205-05:00Who am I?<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 268px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZZT4kj9Wt3kE856W918lXE0NSS9l3WtsLmTnVfIRvX7fDt6cuP9_c-xXkVgYaP2mSwrM099o1sdJfPBYv3AUk7g-Ws95DTN1nYErv-1sX6ISTEH-lazBf87rimYK5T5Gnj6AqIjkwXNl8/s400/DSC_0056+(2)+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330881971314697778" />

I am eight months old today. I am learning to crawl on all fours but I've perfected what my mom calls the army crawl. I really like to play with my ball and duck. Bath time is one of my favorites. When Gran comes we like to scare each other. She tries to get me and I try to get away from her by hiding and squeeling. It really tickles and I laugh really hard when mom blows on my belly. I got my dad's technical abilities and I want to know how everything works. I like to inspect things. I'm also kind of shy when I don't know somebody and they talk to me. I hate when mom wipes my face and nose it's really annoying. I love to go to Bible class. Ms. Pat is a lot of fun. She plays games with us and sings songs. I'm also getting really big and can say mommy, daddy and all done in sign language. It's really fun to wave bye-bye to everyone I see. Oh did I tell you I have a kitty cat? She used to stay far away from me but now she lets me pet her. She's really soft. I really like to get into everything and make mom come and get me. My favorite place to hide is under the coffee table. I like to hear my own voice so I talk a lot. I am also very scheduled and it is nap time so I have to get off the computer now- mom said so.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-83898608945376536112009-04-28T11:45:00.000-05:002009-04-28T12:01:17.058-05:00YouTube TuesdayThis time it's actually on Tuesday!

Do you Twitter and what is it anyway?

So I signed up for Twitter a couple of months ago but didn't do anything with it because I didn't really know anyone on it. However, the other day I noticed that Rachel was on there so I decided to start playing with it.

Today I have posted a really good little video entitled "Twitter in plain English" which is the best explaination I can find for what Twitter is. Basically Twitter is a short blog or micro blog. It keeps your network updated more frequently than a blog. It's kind of like a daily running dialog. Anyway, watch the short clip and and then go sign up for Twitter, it really is fun!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-61011554228379388102009-04-22T12:36:00.000-05:002009-04-22T15:16:47.412-05:00YouTube Tuesday...on Wednesday. Well, yesterday got away from me. It was quite a busy day. I wasn't home at all so today will have to do. So I have posted two, because I couldn't decide, the second I couldn't embed so I just have to post a link. The first one is a funny out-take from a news reporter and the second is Shaheen Jafargholi who is singing on Britian's got talent. He is really incredible! Enjoy!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVU4IkzMNIoUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-86207596396904526432009-04-17T15:26:00.000-05:002009-04-17T15:39:16.485-05:00Where has time gone?I know it has been forever since I posted! I have really been slacking on YouTube Tuesday. I did it to get in the habit of posting more often. Yeah, that didn't last long but don't worry, tune in next week for a great one! So Ella is into EVERTHING she is now 7 months and rolling, waving, kind of crawling (she still needs some practice) and getting heavier by the day. She still loves to eat! I say still because she has never had a problem with it! A couple of weeks ago she came down with a cold and double ear infection, luckily we got through that one! Watch out mom's ear infections are the PITS! Yesterday and the day before I thought I was going to be admitted to the State Hospital by the time we got her to bed. She was so clingy and fussy so I assumed the worst- ear infection. But to my pleasant surprise it was just her teeth. Yes, she is getting 2 more teeth, her top two. Today has been SOOOOO much better. She took a good nap this morning and is now laying down for a bit. She is sleeping really well at night and this whole week I haven't had to get up once. AHHH I didn't think I would EVER see those day's again!

Taylor and Audrey are coming this weekend to H town to finish packing up some things and to sell their cars before they are off to London. It really hasn't sunk in yet that they are moving oversees. Maybe it will when I have to call another country?! CRAZY! I think they'll love it and never come back! We shall see.

Be sure to stay tuned to this fabulous ramblings by Laura for the latest edition of YouTube Tuesday. Trust me- you don't want to miss it!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-15034093477361023202009-03-04T12:35:00.000-06:002009-03-04T12:47:19.374-06:00Oops.. I missed You Tube Tuesday!Oh well I'll just post today. I really can't believe it's already Wednesday again!!

So, this week we have a video that I think is pretty impressive. Some of you may have heard of them but if not you need to check them out. The group is called the Cactus Cuties. They are from Lubbock and are the cutest little girls ever. Here's a video of them singing the national anthem at a Tech ball game. Be sure to check out their website at http://thecactuscuties.com/.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543055320152888309.post-89834655321593143052009-02-24T16:34:00.000-06:002009-02-24T16:57:30.431-06:00You Tube Tuesday and RSVSo what does You Tube and RSV have in common? Well nothing except that it's Tuesday and Ella has RSV!

On Thursday Ella came down with a little cough. She always has a bit of a dry cough which is to be expected because winter time + West Texas= DRY but this cough was a little raspy. So we monitored her temp and went on about our day. Well, the cough got worse and worse along with the incredibly runny nose until Sunday night she didn't sleep at all and I mean AT ALL! So bright and early at 8:00 Monday morning we called Dr. Kristie and said HELP. She saw us promptly at 9:15. They do a nose swab on all children under the age of 1 to test for RSV and Flu because infants immune systems are not regulated yet. Therefore, a lot of illnesses in children under 1 all present themselves the same. Well the test came back postive for RSV. Yikes! Luckly it is a mild case and Ella is not at high risk for example premature and low birth weight, NOPE none of those! Did I mention that she has an ear infection also? Well, Dr. Kristie fixed us up. She prescribed breathing treatments of Albuterol for the RSV and an antibiotic for the ear infection. Ella slept much better last night, mommy did too, and we are hopefully on our road to recovery.

As for You Tube Tuesday I just love the cinematography in this video, it's really genius!! Hope you appreciate it as much as I do.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3
